The vessel profile,
now an industry standard.
VDX is SMDG's vessel profile format, built by SMDG and its member companies — TEDIVO among them. It succeeds TEDIVO's Open Vessel Definition, and TEDIVO VDX Viewer supports it in full.
Open Vessel Definition VDX your existing OVD files convert
- Validate. Package structure, schema and the cross-field rules — each finding carrying the clause it comes from.
- Visualise. Bay plans, hatch covers, and top and side views drawn to scale wherever the profile carries coordinates.
- Cross-check. Load a BAPLIE for the same ship and see every container the profile says cannot go where it is stowed.
- Convert. Bring an Open Vessel Definition across to VDX, with every field VDX cannot yet carry listed rather than quietly dropped.
- In your browser. Nothing is uploaded. A vessel profile is commercially sensitive, so it never leaves the machine you open it on.
